Social media is about sharing ideas and points of view. So is interior design. And since designers are always looking for new inspiration, we created a place where they could share their work and be inspired by the work of others.
When social networking works best, it links a big group of people all with the same interests. Myspace, LinkedIn, and even Match.com work because people with common interests want to connect. The big idea behind Myspace Music was to connect musicians and give them a place to share their music and promote themselves outside the world of traditional media. Why not do the same for designers? Enter FLORtrade.com.
Through our JOIN IN advertising campaign, we reached out to designers and invited them to become a part of FLOR. But we didn't stop there. Now that designers were “in” we wanted to add value to the program. We gave them a place to express themselves on the web. A place where they could learn from FLOR and FLOR could learn from them.
FLORtrade.com positioned FLOR as a leader in design by opening the discussion to all forms of interior design. It created a place where product development ideas and design inspiration could be shared and premiered with a group that cared more than any other. Consider us inspired.
