Bretford has been designing and manufacturing school furnishings for decades. They're forward thinking, changing and adapting their product to keep up with the pace of modern technology. But their old catalog did not position them as such. That's where we come in.

Our overarching objective for Bretford’s Basics Catalog was to change the perception of Bretford to a leader in technology furniture. So, in keeping with the line, we started with the basics. The catalog design helps users create their ideal environment with Bretford’s technology-based furniture solutions. Organized by product line, we added a layer of communication based on environment to help users shop. Each page notes whether the product is ideal for working, meeting, or learning environments to help someone shopping for a school, for example, bring pieces from different product lines together to form a single solution for their unique space.

Subcategories begin with ad-like pages identifying benefits of each product. Environment shots mark the start of each section.

We believe when you can make the product the hero, you should. Bring it to the forefront, into the limelight. So we created a series of clean, ad-like layouts to showcase benefits specific to each product line while taking the story into an environment that would resonate with the end-user. This way teachers, librarians, and office managers would see how Bretford’s full Basics line would be there to support their ever-changing technology needs. The environment-based, still life photography brought Bretford into their world, transforming the basics into something much more valuable.
